Pan American Lofts is the second oldest structure in downtown Los Angeles built in 1895 (the nearby Bradbury Building is the oldest.) Originally called the Irvine Byrne Building, the building was built to house, in part, the original offices of the James Irvine Company, the namesake for the city of Irvine located in Orange County. Tastefully renovated in 2006 by developer Urban Pacific, the lofts at Pan American range in size from 800 square feet to 1,400 square feet, and include penthouse lofts with internal mezzanines and private roof-top decks. Loft owners enjoy significant property tax savings thanks to a Historic Facade Preservation Easement granted by the Los Angeles Conservancy.

  • Historic Preservation Tax Credit
